Dear Parents and Guardians: Auditions for Missoula Children's Theatre production of Rumpelstiltskin will be held on June 20, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., at Hartington Public School in the gymnasium. There are roles for those students who will be entering Kindergarten through 6th grade in the fall of 2005. Approximately 50-60 Cedar County students will be cast to appear in the show with MCT Tour Actor/Directors. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. Students wishing to audition should arrive by the scheduled starting time and plan to stay for the entire two-hour session. The first rehearsal begins approximately 1 hour after the auditions. It is a group audition - no advance preparation is necessary, but a smile never hurts. They should just be ready to come and have a good time! Rehearsals will be conducted every day from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Hartington Public School gym and commons areas. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of auditions. Cast members scheduled for the full 5 hours of rehearsal will be asked to bring a sack lunch, or snack. The performances will be held on June 24 and June 25, 2005, at 7:00 p.m., in the Hartington Public School gymnasium. The students in the cast will be called for rehearsal before the performances on those days. All those cast must be available for all scheduled performances. Missoula Children's Theatre is a non-profit organization based in Missoula, Montana. This coming year over 55,000 cast members across the globe will take to the stage to the delight and applause of their families, friends, community, neighbors and teachers! The residency in Hartington is made possible by the Cedar County Theatre, Hartington Public School, the H.P.S. Character Education Committee, Hartington Community Foundation Please fill out the release form and return to your Cedar County school before May 23, 2005, or mail to : Sheila Olsen, 201 N Oak Avenue,. Hartington, NE 68739. You may also bring it filled out with you to auditions. No child will be allowed to audition without a signed release form. Remember that not everyone who auditions is guaranteed a part in the show! GOOD LUCK!!!
