Last Chance to See "The Eight:  Reindeer Monologues"

The Cedar County Theatre is back with one last performance of “The Eight:  Reindeer Monologues” by Jeff Goode.  This final performance is scheduled for Friday, December 15th at Tooties Restaurant and Lounge on North Highway 57 in Hartington.  Doors open at 8:30 p.m. for Social Hour, and the performance begins at 9:30 p.m.

In “The Eight:  Reindeer Monologues,” accusations, rumors and all-out attacks are flying fast and furious around Santa’s toyshop this holiday season.  What’s the true story behind Rudolph’s unlikely rise to fame?  Does Mrs. Claus have a serious drinking problem?  Can St. Nick, himself, really be guilty of what the reindeer allege?  And with all of this going on, how can the spirit of Christmas be saved?  Told in a series of shocking, witty monologues, Santa’s eight flying reindeer each get a chance to give their answers to these questions.

Audiences will be treated with performances from Tom Grube (Dasher), Bill Heimes (Cupid), Lee Carl (Hollywood), Shelley Lammers (Blitzen), Kyle Stevens (Comet), Sally Opfer (Dancer), Ron Pearson (Donner), and Sheila Olsen (Vixen).  This play contains adult language and situations, and is not intended for children.  For mature audiences only—no one under 21 admitted.  Admission is $5.00 at the door.  Produced by special arrangement with Baker’s Plays, Quincy, MA.  Visit their website at www.cedarcountytheatre.com for more information.
